Adoption Policy

Our adoption policy ensures each bunny is placed in a prepared, loving home. It outlines expectations for payment, pickup, health, and our pet-only policy. 

Below is a simplified version for website viewing. To view the formal, legally binding agreement that will be provided and signed at pickup, click here.

Please review all terms carefully. Deposits are non-refundable and confirm your agreement to this policy. 

Deposits & Payment 

  • A 50% non-refundable,  non-transferable deposit is required to reserve your bunny.

  • The deposit is applied toward the adoption fee.

  • The remaining balance is due in cash at pickup.

  • We accept Venmo for deposits only.

Pickup Information 

  • Pickup is in-person only - we do not ship bunnies via cargo at this time. 

  • Pickup takes place near our home in Hawaii Kai. 

  • A bunny-safe carrier is required for transport at pickup. 

  • If we do not receive a response to the pickup confirmation text within 24 hours of our scheduled pickup, a new date will be arranged and additional boarding fees will apply. 

  • Bunnies not picked up within 14 days of the initial scheduled pickup date will be considered forfeited and may be re-listed for adoption. No payments will be refunded.

Health, Gender & Temperament

  • To the best of our knowledge, bunnies are healthy at the time of pickup. 

  • If a bunny is not ready by the scheduled go-home date, we will reschedule pickup accordingly. 

  • While we handle and socialize our bunnies daily, temperament and personality vary and continue to develop over time. 

  • Gender is not guaranteed prior to 12 weeks of age.

  • Adult weight is not guaranteed, though purebred Holland Lops typically range between 2 - 5 lbs.

Breeding Rights

  • All bunnies are sold as pets only and are not to be bred

  • Breeding rights must be formally approved and purchased through a separate agreement.

  • Breeding without permission is strictly prohibited.

  • We understand accidental litters may occur, but offspring may not be sold for monetary value or bred without breeding rights.

  • Unauthorized breeding or sale of offsprings from our lines will result in a $5,000 liquidated damages per occurrence. 

  • If a bunny is rehomed or transferred to a breeder, the original purchaser on file remains fully liable for all contract violations and applicable damages. (To prevent this, we require that bunnies be returned to us if the original purchaser is no longer able to care for them, or recommend that bunnies are neutered or spayed prior to being rehomed.)

  • This policy is in place to protect the integrity of our lines and ensure that our bunnies are never misused in backyard breeding, which often contributes to bunnies ending up in shelters. 

  • Pedigrees may be viewed at pickup:

    • Pet-only bunnies receive a birth certificate (no pedigree).

    • Bunnies sold with breeding rights receive a full pedigree document at pickup.

Refunds & Rehoming 

  • All sales are final once a bunny leaves our care. 

  • We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or replacements after pickup. 

  • If a bunny passes while still in our care prior to pickup, we will offer a refund or replacement of equal value. 

  • If at any point you are no longer able to care for your bunny, they must be returned to us immediately so we can place them in a safe, loving home. 

  • This helps ensure that our bunnies never end up in shelters, neglected situations, or unethical breeding programs.

  • No refunds will be given for returned bunnies. 

  • Once the bunny leaves our care, the buyer assumes all responsibility, including any future health concerns, injuries, or veterinary costs.
